Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled FP&A professional to build long-term financial models and support strategic planning in a fast-growing environment.

You will collaborate with business leaders to translate metrics into financial insights, assist with acquisitions and post-merger integration, and drive data-driven decision making through scalable FP&A processes and BI tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in investment banking, consulting, or PE/VC related analyst roles.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience supporting M&A and strategic initiatives or transaction analyses is a plus.
• Excellent Excel skills; comfortable with large datasets and BI tools; SQL a plus.
• Able to communicate complex financial concepts to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term financial projection models for planning and investor communications.

• Create acquisition/investment models, including valuation, synergies, and returns.

• Improve FP&A processes, models, and reporting tools to enable scalability and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure consistency between actuals, forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Leverage financial systems and BI tools to enhance analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term financial projection models to support strategic planning initiatives and board/investor communications
• Partner with business leaders to understand operational metrics and translate them into financial insights
• Support financial due diligence for acquisitions, including data analysis, quality of earnings support, and operational metric validation
• Build and maintain acquisition and investment models, including purchase accounting inputs, valuation, synergies, and return analyses
• Assist with post-acquisition integration planning, including financial reporting alignment, forecasting, and synergy tracking
• Support de novo growth initiatives and special projects related to market expansion or new service offerings
• Help improve FP&A processes, models, and reporting tools to support scalability and data accuracy
• Work closely with Accounting to ensure consistency between actuals, forecasts, and long-range plans
• Leverage financial systems and BI tools to enhance analytical capabilities

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive experience in investment banking, consulting, or a PE / VC related analyst or associate role
• B.S. / B.A. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering; MBA preferred
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills with a high attention to detail
• Experience supporting M&A, strategic initiatives, or transaction-related analysis preferred
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets; experience with BI tools and SQL a plus
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Experience in services, tech-enabled services, or PE-backed environments strongly preferred.
