Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial support and analysis on US CEM consolidated results and corporate region forecasts. You will compile reporting, collaborate with leaders across functions, and ensure accuracy of data for strategic decisions.

You will analyze plans to identify risks and opportunities, present actions to senior management, and contribute to IRR and EVA valuations in a fast-paced manufacturing context.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; SAP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate finance information to support analysis and benchmarking.
  • Analyze plan data to identify risks and opportunities and present actions to senior management.
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative assessments for key initiatives, incl. IRR and EVA valuations.
  • Support preparation of financial and operational reports and analyses.
  • Assist with all financial planning activities (monthly, quarterly, annual, long-term).
  • Analyze complex financial scenarios and present insights to management.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To provide financial support and analysis on US CEM consolidated and corporate region results, forecasts and plans. Timely compilation of reporting and analysis to assist business leaders in making informed decisions. Collaborate with other functions to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data. Work with Commercial General Managers and other functions to ensure reported results, forecasts, and plans are accurate, and variance is communicated and understood.

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Provide corporate finance with information necessary to support corporate-level analysis and benchmarking initiatives.
  • Analyze financial plan data to identify potential risks and opportunities, and present findings along with proposed actions to senior management for review and decision-making.
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative economic assessments on key company initiatives and projects to assist management in decision-making, including (but not limited to) Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Economic Value Added (EVA) valuations.
  • Support the preparation of financial and operational reports and analysis to assist the business decision-making process.
  • Assist and support all financial planning activities, including monthly, quarterly, annual and long-term planning
  • Analyze complex financial scenarios to provide detailed insight into business drivers and potential valuecreation opportunities; this may require gathering and interpreting of marketing, logistics, manufacturing,and system (SAP) data. Present findings to management
  • Assist with the compilation and preparation of information required to support internal and external quarterly and annual reporting requirements
  • Supporting commercial analytics and reporting
  • Involvement in price and volume benchmarking activities
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degree
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business preferred, with emphasis in accounting and/or finance
Required Work Experience: 3 years working in finance and/or accounting
Required Technical Skills: Advanced Excel Skills Required. SAP, SAC experience is a plus
Travel Requirements: 5%

Additional Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a large decentralized manufacturing organization, with reporting under US GAAP/SOX a distinct benefit.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Self-starting, flexible and responsive; able to make independent decisions in a fast-pacedenvironment and manage multiple tasks/assignments within specified deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, as well as internal andexternal customers.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills (balancing multiple tasks and assignments within specified deadlines, including the ability to articulate project status to supervisor, other team membersand customers.
  • Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
