Job summary

The City of Kent Finance Department is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Payroll team in Kent, WA. The role will oversee semimonthly payroll processing, respond to inquiries, and assist with payroll-related matters while supporting users of the payroll system.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field and have three years of municipal or government accounting or financial analysis experience.

Job description

The City of Kent Finance Department is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Payroll team. This position will be responsible for assisting with semimonthly payroll processing, responding to a variety of inquiries and payroll processing matters, preparing and submitting state and federal tax reports, and providing support to others in the use of the payroll system and processing. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in municipal or government accounting or financial analysis are ideal qualifications.

There is one full-time position available, represented by the AFSCME union.

An unranked eligibility list may be established from this recruitment to fill future Senior Financial Analyst vacancies that arise within the next 12 months.

The recruitment process for this position will include at least one panel interview.

SALARY:

$7,876.00- $9,603.00 per month, depending on experience
