Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an experienced Financial Analysis Talent to join our Gypsum Operations Finance team. You will lead financial planning and analytics for manufacturing sites, partnering with plant leadership to drive value and improvements.

Location supports WY/OK facilities with onsite work and monthly travel. Hybrid model may apply; strong Excel, data visualization, and SAP experience are preferred for strategic decision support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or Strategy.
  • Experience in manufacturing finance preferred, with strategic focus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and finance teams to identify cost drivers and priorities.
  • Partner with leadership to develop work plans driving performance improvements.
  • Develop cost optimization plans to improve production and spending efficiency.
  • Support tracking and analysis of operations performance to identify opportunities.
  • Own FP&A for the gypsum manufacturing site, including forecasting and reporting.
  • Advance economic thinking on capital and expense investments with the team.
  • Prepare leadership and ad-hoc presentations for strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to challenge status quo and propose solutions.
  • Develop in-depth gypsum division knowledge and benchmarking capabilities.

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an experienced Financial Analysis Talent to join our Gypsum Operations Finance team, supporting our manufacturing facilities in WY and OK. This critical role will focus on providing strategic financial leadership and analysis to drive operational improvements and support strategic decision-making. You will partner with manufacturing operations and site leaders to close gaps, create value, and transform operations through actionable insights and strategic planning. Location: The Analyst will primarily support our WY and OK Gypsum facilities. To effectively respond to business needs and establish working relationships - you will work onsite from ATL or OK - and monthly travel to supported sites will be expected. Our Team: The Gypsum FP&A team spans 12 Gypsum manufacturing facilities. We are dedicated to supporting manufacturing teams embracing strong economic and critical thinking, leveraging point-of-views, and considering alternatives and ranges of outcomes when making investment decisions. Our collaborative approach involves partnership with Plant Accounting, Commercial Finance, and other Centers of Excellence.

What You Will Do:
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and larger finance team to develop insights into cost drivers and align on manufacturing priorities
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to identify performance drivers, creating and executing work plans to drive improvement
  • Develop cost optimization plans that enhance production and spending efficiency metrics
  • Support operations bet tracking and performance analysis to identify improvement opportunities
  • Own the financial planning, management reporting, and analytics for manufacturing site
  • Advance economic thinking around capital and expense investments with manufacturing team
  • Contribute to monthly forecasting, providing insights into financial performance, variances, and opportunities
  • Create leadership and ad-hoc business presentations to support strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions
  • Develop in-depth manufacturing knowledge of the Gypsum Division as well as external competitors to promote benchmarking efforts and opportunities
  • Uphold and promote the Principles-Based Management culture by reinforcing the company's Core Values and Principles
Who You Are (Basic Requirements):
  • Experienced in financial analysis, accounting, operations finance, or related roles, with a strong grasp of financial concepts and economic principles
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and solving operational challenges, driving continuous improvement
  • Transformation-focused, with the ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment, embracing change and process improvement
  • Proficient in sourcing and analyzing large volumes of data, developing informed perspectives and solutions
  • Effective communicator, capable of presenting complex financial concepts to diverse audiences and engaging stakeholders
What Will Put You Ahead:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or Strategy
  • Finance experience within a manufacturing setting
  • Gypsum Manufacturing Knowledge
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including financial modeling and data visualization
  • Experience with data analysis/visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, and ERP systems like SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive transformation within manufacturing operations
