Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Senior Financial Advisor in Lutherville, MD to manage a book of high-net-worth clients and deliver comprehensive financial planning. This is a relationship-driven, non-transactional role with a path toward minority equity ownership for top performers.

Responsibilities include holistic planning across investments, tax, retirement, and estate planning, coordinated with a paraplanner and operations team. Requires Series 7/65/66 and CFP preferred.

  • Contribute to brand development and market presence through networking and visibility.
  • Support planning specialization areas like divorce or estate planning as needed.
  • Mentor the assigned paraplanner and operations professional; participate in team development.

About the Senior Financial Advisor Role: Our client is an independent wealth management firm celebrating 20 years of fiduciary-first financial planning, operating under a corporate RIA and broker-dealer platform. The Senior Financial Advisor will manage a book of high-net-worth clients, delivering comprehensive planning and advisory services. This is a relationship-driven, non-transactional role with a defined path toward minority equity ownership for advisors who demonstrate strong performance and cultural fit.

Key Responsibilities Of The Senior Financial Advisor
  • Manage an existing book of high-net-worth clients with investable assets ranging from $150K to $500K+, serving clients under AUM or fee-based advisory relationships.
  • Provide holistic financial planning across investments, tax strategy, insurance optimization, retirement, and estate planning.
  • Execute financial plans using the firm's planning software and CRM in collaboration with the paraplanner and operations team.
  • Actively manage and optimize client portfolios while providing insurance planning solutions as client needs and market conditions evolve.
  • Close qualified inbound leads generated through the firm's marketing and content strategy.
  • Drive practice growth by building meaningful relationships through personal networking, community involvement, and strategic professional partnerships.
  • Contribute to brand development and market presence through networking and community visibility.
  • Support specialization in planning areas such as divorce or estate planning based on your interests and firm needs.
  • Participate in team development, including mentoring the assigned paraplanner and operations professional.
  • Maintain the highest standards of fiduciary responsibility, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications of the Senior Financial Advisor
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, or a related field.
  • Series 7 and Series 65 or Series 66 licenses required; Life and Health Insurance licensure is a plus.
  • CFP certification or active pursuit toward certification, with completion preferred within the first two years.
  • Existing book of business or an established network in the Baltimore area is desirable but not required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems required; specific experience with eMoney, Zocks, Albridge, or Redtail is a plus, as is familiarity with and passion for AI tools and how they can improve workflows and the client experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial strategies in clear, client-friendly language.
  • Skilled at fostering trusted client relationships through thoughtful discussions about financial goals, values, and life priorities, with a holistic approach to wealth management.
  • Collaborative, coachable, and passionate about continuous learning while creating long-term value for clients, the firm, and the team. Brings positive energy and genuine enthusiasm for helping others succeed.
