Job summary

Skechers seeks an experienced Accounting Team Leader to oversee accounting operations for their Wholesale business across CEE/EU markets. The ideal candidate will lead various financial processes, contribute to audits, and manage reconciliations. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting along with CPA certification is preferred, alongside strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Job description

Leading the accounting team of the Wholesale business for Skechers CEE/EU, including Skechers CEE kft and Skechers SARL, Switzerland / CEE/EU operations.

1. Over 8 years of relevant working experience is preferred, with at least 5 years in a multinational company.
2. Proficiency in Computer Applications, especially MS Office (mandatory), Oracle Cloud (preferred), SAP or other ERP experience is advantageous.
3. Recording incomes, capital, and operating expenses.
4. Supervising collection processes in CZE, SVK, HUN, SVN, ROU, BGN, HRV.
5. Ensuring full control of incoming payments from these markets.
6. Preparing and supervising balance sheet reconciliations.
7. Participating in the preparation of statutory reports.
8. Engaging in internal and external audits.
9. Managing GL and lease accounting modules.
10. Communicating with banks and maintaining bank records.
11. Preparing and reviewing tax returns.
12. Participating in month-end closing routines.
13. Collaborating with the finance team.
14. Relevant accounting experience and/or degree.
15. Language skills in English, Hungarian, and additional local language knowledge is a plus.
16. Strong analytical skills.
17. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
18. ERP system experience.
19. Ability to multitask effectively.
20. Open-minded with good process development skills.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting is preferred; other financial degrees are acceptable if accompanied by relevant experience in accounting, banking, or financial administration.

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or tax advisory degrees are a plus.
