Job summary

Future Caucus is seeking a Senior Director of Finance / Controller to lead our finance operations and ensure the integrity of financial systems, reporting, controls and planning. You will partner with the COO and senior leaders to provide clear financial insights, budgets, and strategic guidance that support mission-driven growth.

You will manage external accounting and audit relationships, drive system improvements, and help translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations for

Qualifications

• Non-profit finance experience required.
• Experience managing a budget of $4M or more.
• Degree in finance, accounting, non-profit/business administration, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience with nonprofit financial systems, grant & restricted revenue compliance, and board-level financial reporting.
• Detail-oriented and analytical with strong communication skills.
• Advanced skills in Excel and other financial tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO, COO, Board and senior leaders.
• Oversee annual budget development and forecasting with department partners.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Maintain internal controls and oversee external accounting/vendor relationships.
• Ensure accurate financial data and tax filings, and staff training on policies.
