Job summary

SaidGig is seeking a senior finance specialist to shape how advanced AI models handle real financial work. You will partner with AI research and program teams to assess finance tasks, define high-quality answers, and craft rigorous benchmarks. This full-time, on-site Bay Area role requires 40 hours weekly for an initial 6-month engagement.

You must live in the Bay Area, relocate if needed, and work with client teams using their tools. This is not a remote role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated professional finance experience at a recognized institution.
• Specialization in at least one core finance discipline (corporate finance/FP&A, IB/M&A, asset or wealth management, private equity/credit, quantitative finance, treasury, or accounting/audit).
• Progression to a senior IC or leadership role (VP/Director/MD/Portfolio Manager/Controller/CFO) with ownership of analysis.
• Advanced degree in finance or related field and/or CFA/CPA/FRM preferred.
• Hands-on use of large language models and ability to judge well-reasoned work from plausible but incorrect answers.
• Excellent written communication and ability to provide precise feedback.

Role Overview

Shape how advanced AI models reason about real financial work. In this senior finance role, you will partner with AI research and program teams to assess finance tasks, define high-quality answers, and create rigorous benchmarks that measure meaningful model improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Review finance knowledge-work tasks and model outputs, identifying missing behaviors, weak reasoning, flawed assumptions, and responses that would not meet professional standards.
• Write instruction specifications and golden solutions for financial problems, and develop new tasks grounded in real-world finance practice.
• Design challenging finance evaluations and benchmarks, and help develop finance-specific skills and tools with the research team.
• Collaborate with researchers and adjacent-domain specialists to calibrate standards and translate professional financial judgment into clear, teachable criteria.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of dedicated professional finance experience at a recognized institution, such as an investment bank, asset manager, private equity or credit fund, Big Four firm, large corporate finance function, or financial regulator. Generalist roles with only peripheral finance exposure do not qualify.
• Specialization in at least one core finance discipline, including corporate finance and FP&A, investment banking and M&A, asset or wealth management, private equity or private credit, quantitative finance and risk management, treasury, or accounting and audit.
• Progression to a senior individual-contributor or leadership role, such as Vice President, Director, Principal, Managing Director, Portfolio Manager, Controller, or CFO, with ownership of analysis and decisions.
• Advanced degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a quantitative field, and/or a recognized credential such as CFA, CPA, FRM, or an actuarial designation, strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on professional use of large language models and sound judgment for distinguishing well‑reasoned work from plausible but incorrect answers.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to provide precise, structured feedback.

Work Terms

• Full-time W-2 employment, with a reliable commitment of 40 hours per week for an initial 6-month engagement.
• Hybrid position based in the Bay Area, California.
• You must live in the Bay Area and work on-site with the client team multiple days per week when required.
• This is not a remote role.
• Candidates currently outside the Bay Area must relocate at their own expense before the engagement begins; relocation assistance is not available.
• You will receive client-issued accounts and equipment and work in the client's tools alongside its research teams.
• The employer of record administers employment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and compliance for the role.

Compensation

$60 to $100 per hour.
