Job summary

Cognizant Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant – Finance Platforms to bridge business needs with technology across back-office finance systems in a global financial services environment. You will collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Technology and business stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives supporting financial reporting, derivatives accounting, and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or related role within Banking or Financial Services.
• Strong experience supporting back-office finance systems within global or international organizations.
• Deep understanding of Financial Instruments including derivatives and US GAAP.
• Proven ability gathering requirements and translating to functional specs and user stories.
• Hands-on Agile/Scrum delivery with backlog management and sprint planning.
• Experience with Azure DevOps at Epic/Feature/User Story/Task levels and cross-functional delivery.
• Strong SQL, Excel, and data analysis capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret financial data, including derivatives transactions and associated accounting processes.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into backlog items and user stories.
• Provide SME support on US GAAP standards and financial reporting frameworks.
• Lead Agile delivery activities including backlog management and sprint ceremonies.
• Coordinate onsite and offshore teams to deliver enhancements and ongoing support for back-office finance systems.
