Job summary

Cardinal Health Finance Operations seeks a seasoned professional to oversee rebates and GPO admin fee payouts, ensuring accurate accruals and compliant accounting.

You will lead cross-functional efforts with Sales, Legal, Pricing and Contracting, drive process improvements, and deploy automation and AI tools to streamline review cycles while maintaining SOX controls. Strong GAAP knowledge and data modeling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree highly preferred.
• 4 years of proven experience in Accounting, Audit, or Finance, with a track record of complex structures and improvements.
• Exceptional understanding of GAAP; ability to grasp downstream P&L implications of complex entries.
• Expertise in managing large data sets and complex financial modeling.
• Experience transitioning processes from legacy Excel to automated workflows.
• Familiarity with automation/AI tools (Python, no-code agents, Alteryx, Celonis).
• Knowledge of SAP, Vistex, and reviewing Legal Contracts.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly/quarterly processes related to rebates and Admin Fees.
• Calculate customer rebates for accruals and payouts.
• Prepare audit-ready documentation for approvals.
• Compile external reporting for payouts.
• Own Admin Fee inquiries and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with leadership on complex customer transactions.
• Manage end-to-end accrual structure and P&L impacts for rebates.
• Analyze subledgers for accuracy and implications.
• Oversee offshore payout calculations to ensure predictability.
• Reduce rebate true-ups and enforce SOX controls.
• Communicate complex financial concepts to executive leadership.
• Bridge cross-functional gaps across Sales, Legal, Finance, Pricing, Accounting, and Contracting.
• Advise on early commercial discussions for non-standard incentives.
• Drive automation and AI adoption to replace legacy processes.
• Assist in enterprise system implementations.
