About the Role

We are partnering with a profitable, Series A, renewable energy software and services company to find a Senior Manager, Finance & Capital Budgeting. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead financial operations for a rapidly scaling company backed by top-tier renewable investors, developers, utilities, and tech firms. You will work on projects that have driven over 7GW of renewable energy capacity, supporting the deployment of solar and energy storage assets.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and improve financial operations tools including budgeting, forecasting, and automation.
2. Refine budgets and forecasts, understanding stakeholder costs and risks.
3. Lead variance reporting and provide financial narratives on project progress.
4. Optimize financial models to enhance profitability and reporting.
5. Improve reporting and forecasting processes for better accuracy and efficiency.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders across various roles to incorporate project insights into financial planning.
7. Evaluate expenses for new projects and expansions to ensure strategic alignment.
8. Create financial reports and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.
9. Develop analytical tools and KPIs for real-time decision-making.
10. Serve as a subject matter expert on financial operations in renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in financial operations, preferably in renewable energy or construction.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy finance or accounting.
• Proven problem-solving and innovative thinking skills.
• Experience managing complex projects and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and business acumen.

Preferred (Non-Essential)

• Skills in data analysis tools like Python, R, Excel, Power BI.
• Experience with renewable energy software platforms or project management tools.
