Senior Finance Manager
Location: Spartanburg, SC

Our client, a global leader in engineering solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join their U.S. operations team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all facets of financial management, including planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making.

The Senior Finance Manager will lead a high-performing finance team, providing expert guidance to drive financial performance, support business objectives, and promote operational excellence.


Senior Finance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present accurate financial/statutory reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Lead the FP&A process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Manage the audit process and engage with external auditors.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and development as a key member of the USA Leadership Team.
  • Drive process optimization and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.
  • Ensure exceptional internal customer service through oversight of shared service functions.
  • Collaborate with business units and IT to enhance management information systems.
  • Oversee financial management of capital projects and monitor project financial performance.
  • Manage cash flow and optimize working capital management strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Group CFO and Head of Group Finance to optimize regional performance.

Senior Finance Manager Required Qualifications:
  • CPA qualification is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
  • Experience leading Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivables teams.
  • Experience in Project-Based/Contract accounting.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Finance Manager or Head of Finance within a USA Finance team (Private-Equity environment preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead change and motivate teams
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software applications (Experience with SAGE preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills with the ability to make informed business recommendations.
