bp is seeking a Senior Commercial & Finance professional to support a bp-operated platform in the Gulf of America. The role will collaborate with the Senior Commercial and Finance Manager to manage joint venture partnerships, obligations, and investment decisions, while driving business performance.

You will develop complex financial models, conduct economic evaluations, and lead negotiations to create value, mitigate risk, and ensure alignment with JV agreements and annual plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in commercial negotiation and investment decision analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in Oil & Gas – Gulf of America experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Joint Operating Agreements and related contracts (e.g., Participation, Purchase and Sale, Production Handling).
• Skilled in financial and economic modelling; able to evaluate investments and communicate outputs.
• Ability to influence and align with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial, financial, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsabilités

• Joint venture management: support alignment with JV partners on development plans, budgets, and approvals.
• Investment decision analysis: build and maintain financial models to evaluate opportunities and forecast cash flows.
• Commercial negotiations: support JV agreements and resolve disputes while managing relationships.
• Business performance management: deliver P&L/financial analysis and support performance improvement initiatives.
