Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a Finance Controller for Java House entities located in Carmel, Indiana. The role will manage accounting close, treasury, payroll review, and cash management, reporting to the VP & Global Controller.

You will partner with management and external agencies to ensure compliance and timely financials for the restaurant/retail brands. This senior finance leadership position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of accounting/finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience; controllers/audit exposure preferred.
• ERP and POS system familiarity a plus in restaurant/retail setting.
• Must be highly detail oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; English fluency essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly accounting close for Java House entities.
• Present financial information to stakeholders and management; analyze variances and KPI performance.
• Manage finance, accounting, and shared services team leadership.
• Review payroll, reconcile tips, reimbursements, and 401k reporting.
• Oversee cash management, accounts payable, and vendor management.
• Support budgeting, forecast, and tax-related activities with Corporate Tax Group.
• Assist with special projects including ERP implementations or M&A due diligence.
