Job summary

BDO USA in Nashville is seeking a Senior Finance BI Developer to design, build, and support advanced Power BI reports and data models for Finance stakeholders. You will translate business needs into scalable semantic models, SQL queries, Power Query transforms, and Power Automate workflows while applying best practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely insights, governance-compliant solutions, and comprehensive training and documentation for users.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI or Application Development.
Experience working with Finance data preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops, tests, deploys, and supports Power BI reports, semantic models, and related analytics solutions for Finance stakeholders.
Troubleshoots issues related to report performance, refresh failures, data discrepancies, access issues, and user-reported defects.
Maintains and enhances existing Power BI assets, including refactoring legacy reports, adding documentation, improving usability, consolidating duplicate reports, and reducing technical debt.
Builds visualizations that make complex information accessible to derive insights and enable better business decisions.
