Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in the state where the attorney will practice.
• 8+ years of finance, banking, or financial services experience.
• Experience advising banks, credit unions, or financial institutions.
• Strong transactional, regulatory, and client counseling skills.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication abilities.
• Ability to independently manage client matters.
• Business development experience or portable client relationships preferred.
• Strong client-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Advise financial institutions on a wide range of legal and business matters.
• Represent banks and other financial services organizations in lending and regulatory matters.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and growth initiatives.
• Counsel clients on state and federal banking regulations.
• Support loan workouts and recovery matters.
• Advise on lender liability issues and consumer finance concerns.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and participate in business development.
