Our client, an early-stage life sciences company, seeks a finance professional to own core financial processes and help build the finance infrastructure. You’ll work directly with leadership to drive month-end close, forecasting, and investor materials in a fast-paced biotech setting.
You’ll develop models, accompany strategic decisions with scenario analyses, and support fundraising efforts as the company scales.
Our client is an early-stage life sciences company combining advanced diagnostics, immunology, and technology to help improve decision-making across clinical trials and drug development. The company has already achieved meaningful commercial traction, supports 30+ clinical trials, has grown revenue approximately 300% year-over-year, and is scaling from a lean team of approximately 13 employees.
This is not a traditional back-office finance position. You'll work directly with the CEO and have the opportunity to own critical financial processes while helping build the finance infrastructure of a rapidly scaling company. You'll have exposure to financial strategy, forecasting, unit economics, board reporting, investor communications, and future fundraising—with the potential to grow into broader finance leadership as the organization scales.
You'll likely thrive here if you're the kind of finance professional who enjoys building rather than inheriting. You can start with a blank spreadsheet, create a defensible model, dig into the numbers when something doesn't reconcile, and confidently explain the financial implications to leadership.
Experience within an early-stage biotech, life sciences, healthcare technology, diagnostics, CRO, or similarly complex startup environment would be especially valuable
