Job summary

AMD is seeking a highly motivated Finance Analyst to join the Global Operations & Quality (GOQ) Finance team in Austin, TX. You will partner with GOQ and Corporate groups to deliver forecasts, budget guidance, and insights that support AMD's margins and operational goals.

The role emphasizes close collaboration, automation, and high-quality reporting across manufacturing spend and capital expenditures, with opportunities to influence executive decisions.

Qualifications

• Progressive FP&A, finance, or accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with large datasets and financial reporting systems.
• Experience with SAP, S/4HANA, Power BI, Snowflake, or similar enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities for assigned functional areas.
• Prepare and consolidate forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans.
• Support capital expenditure planning, tracking, and variance analysis.
• Analyze departmental spending and provide actionable insights.
• Perform financial modeling to support decision-making.
• Support COGS analysis, cost modeling, and gross margin reporting.
• Develop automated reporting solutions using Power BI, SAP, Excel.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in partnership with accounting.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare executive-level management reporting packages.
• Support ad hoc analyses for senior leadership.
