Job summary

ZS in Chicago is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to drive financial planning and analysis, building BI dashboards and self-service reporting for leadership and finance teams.

You will partner with internal teams, prepare board-ready analyses, model ad-hoc scenarios, and help advance our data strategy while travel is required to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Finance or other quantitative field required.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis supporting internal business units or stakeholders.
• Experience building financial models with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop BI dashboards and self-service reporting to support leadership and internal finance teams.
• Support senior leaders across analysis, issue identification, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal finance teams and stakeholders to execute the company-wide finance data strategy.
• Prepare analysis and presentations for key meetings – Board of Directors, Management Committee, and region leaders.
• Identify trends to drive actions that improve performance and growth.
• Lead ad-hoc modeling projects for senior leadership.
• Coordinate with finance and IT on system process improvements and project timelines.
• Serve as a liaison to ensure requirements are communicated and addressed throughout the lifecycle.

Senior Finance Analyst– Financial Planning & Analysis

We are looking for a finance professional who will provide analysis and support to our business. This role will involve managing financial performance, applying your business intelligence skills to improve profitability across our organization, and leading improvements in finance system processes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn generative AI tools and be part of integrating these advanced technologies into our financial analytics.

What You’ll Do:

• Design business intelligence dashboards and self-service reporting to support leadership and internal finance teams;
• Support senior company leaders across a range of activities from analysis and issue identification through to strategic initiatives;
• Collaborate with internal finance teams and business stakeholders to execute our overall finance data strategy;
• Prepare analysis and presentations for key company meetings – Board of Directors, Management Committee, Principals Meetings, Regional Leadership Meetings;
• Pro-actively identify key trends within the business and initiate actions to improve company performance and support ongoing growth and expansion;
• Support ad-hoc modeling projects for senior leadership;
• Coordinate with internal finance and IT teams on finance system process improvements, overseeing and coordinating project activities to ensure successful implementation and timely completion;
• Act as a functional expert in project and data management, serving as a liaison between teams to ensure all requirements are effectively communicated, translated, and addressed throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring:

• BA/BS degree in Finance or other quantitative field required, advanced degree welcomed;
• 3 -5 years’ experience in financial analysis supporting internal business units or stakeholders;
• Experience building financial models with Excel;
• Proficiency in business intelligence data modeling and dashboarding using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar;
• Excellent organizational and task management skills;
• Ability to think strategically and commercially and a willingness to dive down into the details;
• Ability to work closely with senior leaders while retaining objective and professional finance perspective;
• Judgment to know when to challenge something and when to lend support;
• High motivation, strong work ethic and personal initiative.
