Job summary

The Crossing in the St. Louis area seeks a Senior Filmmaker to lead the concepting, filming, editing, and delivery of video content across worship services, ministries, digital platforms, and church-wide experiences.

This role requires managing projects from discovery to final delivery, exploring new formats and workflows, and partnering with the Art Director on budget. A strong portfolio and 7+ years of experience are essential to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Seven or more years of relevant filmmaking experience.
• Proven leadership of creative professionals, freelancers, contractors, volunteers, or project teams.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling and production range.
• Experience in pre-production, on-set production, and post-production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and produce video content for worship services and digital platforms.
• Manage projects from discovery to final delivery and post-project evaluation.
• Test new ideas, formats, workflows, and tools to improve storytelling.
• Translate ministry goals and themes into engaging visual stories.
• Oversee video studio, equipment, and related resources.
• Maintain organized footage, assets, and production documentation.
• Research and implement equipment, software, and workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with Art Director on budget and resource stewardship.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor video volunteers.
• Plan shoots with team and contractors and ensure quality delivery.
• Participate in creative meetings and contribute to overall creativity.
• Other duties as assigned
