Christ's Church of the Valley is seeking a Senior Filmmaker to shape the creative vision for video content across the church. This role requires a storyteller who leads projects from concept through completion, blending directing, cinematography, and post-production to deliver emotionally resonant stories.

The ideal candidate will study culture and trends, continually elevate craft, and collaborate with ministry leaders to align visuals with ministry objectives.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing excellence in storytelling, cinematography, editing, and creative execution.
• Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Photoshop for video production.
• Strong understanding of audio production and sound design for professional video.
• Ability to independently produce projects from concept through delivery with high creative standards.
• Highly organized and capable of balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive in taking initiative, making creative decisions, and functioning as both filmmaker and producer when needed.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a senior creative voice on the Visual Arts team; develops compelling concepts to support ministry objectives.
• Owns projects from idea through final delivery, managing concept development, scripting, storyboarding, planning, production, and post-production.
• Produces visually compelling content with excellence in cinematography, lighting, composition, audio capture, directing, and production design.
• Creates polished edits with color grading, sound design, pacing, motion graphics, and visual effects.
• Continuously studies storytelling, filmmaking, and trends to elevate craft.
• Elevates content quality through thoughtful creative decisions and attention to detail.
• Acts as a resourceful producer, solving challenges and adapting to changing production needs.
• Thrives in both planned productions and fast-paced run-and-gun environments.
• Collaborates with ministry leaders and teammates to align creative vision with communication goals.
• Provides mentorship to other filmmakers, modeling excellence and growth.
