Job summary

Astrion is seeking a SME-Level Mission Planning Test Engineer to support the 45th Test Squadron and the United States Air Force at Eglin AFB, FL. The role focuses on fighter mission planning expertise, test planning, and program assessment in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualified candidates will have a Secret clearance with potential for Top Secret, fighter aircraft operational experience, and the ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS for meetings and qualifications tests.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must have thorough knowledge of Air Force, Navy, or Marine Corps fighter aircraft and experience as a fighter aircrew member.

Responsibilities

• Provide fighter mission planning domain expertise to customers.
• Plan tests, establish criteria, assess program effectiveness, and analyze testing conditions.
• Maintain knowledge of mission planning software (JMPS or comparable).
• Work 40 hours per week with willingness to extend hours including weekends/holidays as needed.
