Job summary

Conhagen is seeking a Lead Field Technician to perform advanced field service activities on rotating equipment at customer sites and shop environments. You will provide technical leadership, mentor technicians, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently to customer and company standards.

Responsibilities include installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, and gearboxes with hands-on use of precision tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years in field service or rotating equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specs.
• Safe use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers.
• Ability to travel to customer sites; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Lead field service activities involving rotating equipment installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
• Inspect, disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, gearboxes, blowers, and related equipment.
• Perform equipment inspections, precision measurements, alignment checks, and dimensional evaluations.
• Identify equipment issues, determine repair requirements, and recommend corrective actions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Perform mechanical repairs using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and customer service activities.
• Complete accurate service reports, inspection records, and repair documentation.
• Provide technical direction, coaching, and support to Field Technicians and less experienced employees.
• Coordinate field activities to support safe and efficient completion of assigned work.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, engineers, and project teams.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies, customer requirements, and HSE procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
