Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert Co is looking for a Sr. Field Technician in Alexandria, Virginia, to inspect, test, and maintain electrical power equipment. This role involves leading safety briefings, performing voltage testing, and troubleshooting equipment issues. Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's degree in electrical technology or equivalent practical experience, along with a clean driving record. Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain High, Medium, and Low electrical power equipment.
• Lead safety briefings on job sites and mitigate hazards.
• Perform High, Medium, and Low voltage testing as a crew leader.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment.
• Develop and write reports on testing and equipment functioning.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Experience with Power Factor testing

Experience with Ductor testing

Experience with Megger testing

Experience with CT ratio & saturation

Experience with Hi-Pot testing

Education

Bachelor’s or associate degree in electrical/Electronic technology

10+ Years Relevant Industry Experience

NETAIII Certified or NETAIV Certified
