Electrical Power Systems (EPS) in Salem, VA is seeking a Field Technician III to inspect, test, and maintain high, medium, and low voltage electrical power equipment on customer sites, including SF6 and vacuum circuit breakers, pad mount transformers, grounding, and switches.

You will lead safety briefings, troubleshoot equipment, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with safety policies; the role requires 5+ years of experience, NETA III certification, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen due to safety sensitive position.
• Criminal background check required.
• Willing to work overtime and travel out of town.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings on job site and mitigate hazards.
• Perform high, medium, and low voltage testing as crew leader.
• Troubleshoot and solve equipment problems using manuals and diagrams.
• Prepare and maintain reports detailing tests, repairs, and maintenance.
• Install, test and maintain electrical apparatus.
• Develop and write reports.
