Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Field Technician III in Savannah, GA. This role requires a strong background as a diesel mechanic with construction/rental equipment experience.

You will troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, repair engines and drivetrains, and maintain equipment records. Expect to work mon-fri with overtime opportunities and a weekly pay cycle. We provide uniforms, an extensive personal tool set, and safety gear.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as diesel mechanic in construction equipment or rental.
• Proficient troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic systems and Tier 4 aftertreatment.
• Experience repairing diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drivetrains.
• Must have tools valued at $10,000+.
• Experience with industrial pumps, power equipment, and HVAC is a plus.
• TWIC or OSHA Basic Plus preferred; must obtain if not held.
• Basic computer skills for service work orders and parts ordering.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment to manufacturer specs.
• Prepare maintenance and repair records including warranties.
• Team-player, self-motivated; career growth available.

Responsibilities

• Document maintenance and repair records and warranty details.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, and drives.
