Astreya is seeking a Field Technician III to support data center locations and POPs, coordinating with network teams and local vendors for installation, repair and maintenance.

The role requires hands-on deployment of rack and stack configurations, testing, and travel to site locations, with a focus on high quality standards in telecommunications.

Candidates should have extensive data center experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and mentor others.

Formación

• Possess an AA degree or equivalent and 5+ years’ related experience.
• Deep knowledge of data center/POP infrastructure and telecom cabling.
• Experience with DWDMs, backbone routers, IP switches, and optical/digital infra.
• Proficient with telecommunications testing equipment (OTDRs, meters).
• Able to work with external vendors and local LECs.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain data center locations and POPs to quality standards.
• Perform physical installation, repair, maintenance, and testing on telecom networks.
• Coordinate site surveys for OSP/ISP projects and equipment deployments.
• Manage local construction vendors and ensure MOP compliance.
• Coordinate with LECs and technicians for installations and maintenance.
• Suggest process improvements to boost network quality.
