Senior Field Technician

Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, based in West Chester, Ohio, is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our West Chester team. You will perform field observation, testing, sampling, and reporting for soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and related materials, under supervision from project managers and senior staff.

This role also trains Technician I and II staff, supports field operations, and communicates daily with contractors.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Maintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy.
• General industry OSHA 10 may be required.
• If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Advanced knowledge of construction materials testing principles and standards.
• Strong understanding of construction practices and jobsite operations.
• Advanced proficiency with electronic devices and data systems.
• Strong math and data reduction skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and lead small efforts in the field.
• Ability to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs).
• Must have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policies.

• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned
