Job summary

Komatsu is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to serve as an advanced SME for mining truck knowledge disciplines worldwide. You will support the global service team with proactive communications, troubleshooting, and training to enhance machine availability in the field.

Travel to job sites and supplier meetings is expected to 20–30% of the time. You will collaborate with PMO, QA, and regional teams to identify root causes, develop solutions, and document findings in detailed

Qualifications

B.S. Degree in a technical discipline (Engineering) and 8+ years of knowledge and experience with mining trucks.
Demonstrated experience with root cause analyses and field troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills for field personnel, distributors, customers and leadership.
Willingness to travel 20–30% and visit mine sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide in-depth technical support to maintain performance and availability worldwide.
Conduct failure analyses and establish root cause using fault tree analysis.
Write detailed failure reports and engage QA/QC to implement solutions.
Own incoming TSI cases and escalate as needed to create resolutions.
Communicate findings and guidance to the field and management teams.
Attend meetings with suppliers and cross-functional teams, travel worldwide.
Organize field campaigns and implement improvements in fleets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
