Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Smith, Arkansas, is seeking a skilled fighter aircraft maintenance professional to support post-sales operations and flight-line readiness. You will advise on schedules and production issues, release aircraft for flight, and oversee repairs and overhauls to ensure airworthiness.

The role requires leadership in a mixed military and LM workforce, with responsibilities to manage ALIS work-orders and maintain safety standards, including potential TDYs and security clearances

Qualifications

• 6 years minimum aircraft maintenance experience with thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and flight line operations.
• Overall fighter experience must include at least 1 year F-35
• Leadership experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
• Experience with such programs as Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information System, Tool and FOD, Time Accounting, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management or Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

• Advises Manager of schedule requirement and production issues as they pertain to squadron aircraft.
• Release aircraft for flight (safe for flight or exceptional release)
• Manages general services, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure that aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight.
• Creates and assigns work-orders in the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and accomplishes aircraft safety of flight releases as required.
• Candidate may supervise multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment that consists of Military and Lockheed Martin employees.
• Ensure workforce follows appropriate technical instructions, 8210D, and local operating instructions.
• Advises management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. Ensures good housekeeping and safety practices are enforced.
