Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Field Survey Lead to oversee field crews across the Cumberland County region. You will lead boundary, topographic, and construction surveys using robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of field surveying experience.
• Experience supervising field crews.
• Proficient with robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to interpret plans and engineering drawings on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in field-based survey crews.
• Conduct boundary, topographic, construction, ALTA/ACSM surveys.
• Operate survey equipment including robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS receivers.
• Analyze field data discrepancies and boundary issues on-site.
• Perform field calculations and verify data on project sites.
• Follow safety protocols and traffic control measures.
• Maintain field vehicles and equipment for daily deployments.
• Record detailed field notes and sketches on-site.
• Communicate progress with Survey Manager daily.
• Train junior field staff in survey techniques and safety.
• Identify and resolve issues independently while meeting deadlines.
