Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician focused on NETA testing across Florida and the Southeast. This is a direct-hire field role that requires hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of power distribution equipment.

You will travel 50–75% with overnights, mentor junior techs, and maintain strict safety standards while delivering accurate test reports for industrial and utility clients.

Qualifications

• NETA Certification at Level II/III/IV as applicable.
• 2–5+ years of field testing experience.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E and OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Test, inspect and troubleshoot LV/MV equipment including switchgear, breakers, transformers, and cables.
• Run acceptance and maintenance tests per NETA standards and document test reports.
• Perform start-ups and commissioning on new installs; respond to outages and emergencies.
• Mentor junior technicians on site (Level III/IV).

This is a field role testing and maintaining power distribution equipment for industrial, commercial and utility customers across Florida and the Southeast.

What you'll do

• Test, inspect and troubleshoot low, medium and high voltage equipment: switchgear, breakers, transformers and cable.
• Run acceptance and maintenance testing to NETA standards, and write clear test reports.
• Do start-ups and commissioning on new installs, and respond to outages and emergencies.
• Lead or mentor junior techs on the job (Level III/IV).

What you bring

• NETA Level II, III or IV certification.
• 2–5+ years of field testing experience, depending on level.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E and OSHA safety practices.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% and work overnights out of town.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Pay & benefits:

$40–$70/hr plus overtime and per diem when traveling. Company truck, test equipment, full benefits and 401(k) match.
