Title:

Senior Field Service Representative

Position Summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Field Service Representative to support a U.S. Army Prototype Commercial-Derivative Wheeled Vehicles Prototype Program. The Senior FSR will provide hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, operator support, and training assistance throughout prototype development, testing, and user evaluation activities.

The selected candidate will work as part of an integrated Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-KBR field support team and support all aspects of vehicle readiness, maintenance execution, inventory management, technical publication validation, operator familiarization, training support, and sustainment activities. This position will play a key role in assessing vehicle maintainability, operational suitability, and user-focused support requirements throughout the prototype lifecycle.

This position requires approximately nine (9) months of training, prototype build support, publication validation, and system familiarization activities in Dearborn, Michigan, followed by extended travel and on-site support at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland and/or Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

This position is restricted to U.S. Citizens. The selected candidate must possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance and be capable of meeting all Government, military installation, and program access requirements throughout the period of performance.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities on Prototype Commercial-Derivative Wheeled Vehicles prototype vehicle systems.

  • Support vehicle build events and gain detailed familiarity with platform systems, configurations, and subsystems.

  • Conduct pre-test inspections, transportation inspections, and readiness assessments.

  • Support operator training, familiarization activities, and user assessments.

  • Assist with validation of operator manuals, maintenance procedures, technical publications, and training materials.

  • Perform maintenance documentation and readiness reporting.

  • Support inventory management, parts accountability, and system support package management.

  • Document failures, corrective actions, maintenance actions, and readiness impacts.

  • Support root-cause investigations and FRACAS activities.

  • Participate in logistics demonstrations, maintenance demonstrations, and operational assessments.

  • Coordinate with Government and OEM personnel to minimize downtime and maintain testing schedules.

  • Support field modifications, component replacement, and vehicle reconfiguration activities as required.

  • Assist in KPI data collection, maintenance reporting, inventory tracking, and performance metric development.

  • Provide feedback on maintainability, operator usability, supportability, and mission effectiveness.

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen.

  • Active Secret security clearance required; ability to maintain clearance throughout employment.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum 7 years of military vehicle maintenance, automotive maintenance, tactical vehicle support, or related experience.

  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automotive systems.

  • Experience performing field-level maintenance and repairs.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with operators, maintainers, customer representatives, and engineers.

  • Ability to document maintenance activities and prepare technical reports.

  • Ability to satisfy all installation access, military base access, and Government credentialing requirements.

  • Ability to work on Government and OEM facilities supporting prototype military vehicle development, testing, and field support activities.

  • Ability to travel extensively and support long-duration TDY assignments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Former U.S. Army Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (91B).

  • Former Automotive Maintenance Warrant Officer (915A).

  • Former Infantry Soldier, Noncommissioned Officer, or leader with Brigade-level or below operational experience.

  • Experience supporting tactical vehicle operations, field training exercises, or deployed operations.

  • Experience providing operator or maintainer instruction, New Equipment Training (NET), or sustainment training.

  • Experience supporting TACOM, Army modernization, fielding, testing, or sustainment programs.

  • Associate’s degree in a mechanical, automotive, logistics, or technical discipline.

Desired Operational Perspective

Candidates with prior Infantry or maneuver force experience are highly desired. This operational background provides a Soldier-centric perspective on vehicle employment, mission execution, equipment stowage, operator workload, maintainability, and tactical utility. In addition to performing maintenance support functions, the Senior FSR will provide valuable insight during prototype development, operator evaluations, training activities, logistics demonstrations, and user assessments by helping evaluate vehicle systems from the perspective of the warfighter who will ultimately operate and maintain the platform in operational environments.

Travel Requirements
  • Approximately nine (9) months of training, vehicle build support, technical publication validation, and prototype familiarization activities in Dearborn, Michigan.

  • Extended TDY assignments supporting developmental testing and user evaluations at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland and/or Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

  • Ability to support travel in excess of 50% during testing phases of the program.

  • Ability to support occasional overtime, weekend activities, and schedule adjustments associated with test events and vehicle readiness requirements.
