Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic A to lead in product knowledge and quality at the branch. You’ll service Herc fleet at customer sites, working independently to keep equipment in top condition and build relationships with customers.

The role involves preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across a range of heavy equipment, with on-call duties and emphasis on safety and reporting.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to operate equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, generators, hydraulics.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals and safety labels.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Herc fleet at customer sites.
• Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire work, and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment on job sites.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Produce detailed service reports and logs.
