Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Tech Services Analyst to support the Operations Team with high-end troubleshooting, startups, and critical repairs of the company’s natural gas compressor fleet. The role emphasizes customer communication and safety while minimizing downtime and improving equipment health.

The position requires travel up to 50%, a strong mechanical background, and proficiency in Excel/Word with the ability to read P&ID and electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school certification preferred; college coursework advantageous.
• 6+ years related experience and/or training; strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow and observe all safety and environmental policies.
• Assist with high-end troubleshooting and complex repairs of natural gas compressors to minimize downtime.
• Analyze repetitive occurrences and provide technical solutions to reduce costs.
• Engage in project work in a team-oriented environment.
• Prepare data for reports on equipment health and emissions testing.
• Investigate root causes of compressor failures by due dates.
• Install and commission new and existing equipment.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, both internal and external.
• Write technical reports for inter-company publication.
• Coach and train field service technicians.
• Maintain company vehicle per guidelines.
• Travel with sales team to identify opportunities and communicate with customers.
