Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Senior Field Security Investigator in the San Diego area to conduct investigations of suspected fraud or other illegal activities against the Company. Responsibilities include interviewing, database inquiries, taking statements, and locating sources of information and witnesses.

You will evaluate credibility, coordinate with outside agencies, and train and support claims-handling teams across departments. Strong investigative and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field.
• 3+ years of insurance claims investigative experience or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional investigation experience in economic/insurance matters.
• Experience handling statements from parties in an investigation.
• Ability to gather evidence and draw conclusions for fraud investigations.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills under workload.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to learn and apply large amounts of technical information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations of suspected fraud or illegal activities against GEICO.
