FirstEnergy Corp is seeking a Level III Safety Representative to provide field safety leadership and oversee high-energy work across Greensburg, PA. The role reinforces the Safety Management System, coaches teams, and ensures direct controls are in place.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in safety/engineering or equivalent, with 5–7 years in utility environments. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity offering growth in safety leadership and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or demonstrated journey-level/qualified craft experience with 5–7 years in utility or energy settings.
• OSHA or equivalent safety certifications preferred.
• Experience applying SMS principles in field operations and influencing without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead field safety engagements and quarterly safety events across locations.
• Verify direct and critical controls for high-energy electrical work.
• Investigate incidents and high-potential near-misses; drive corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training focused on high-risk tasks and job planning.
• Mentor Level I–II Safety Representatives and frontline leaders; report safety metrics.
