Senior Field Property Risk Engineering Consultant

This is a pivotal role within our enterprise, offered fully remotely, that ensures the core stability and continued growth of our operations. The Senior Field Property Risk Engineering Consultant will be integral in analyzing and enhancing our risk management frameworks, focusing particularly on property and natural hazards. This hands-on role provides a direct path to impacting our decision-making processes and client relationships through risk assessment and improvement solutions. We're seeking a professional passionate about shaping the future of risk management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Salary: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive property and natural hazard risk assessments.
  • Conduct thorough plan reviews and support change management initiatives.
  • Manage account risk portfolios, offering tailored risk engineering solutions per underwriting or customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement customer service strategies aimed at reducing loss and enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
  • Provide specialized engineering support during client and broker meetings, aiding the underwriting team.
  • Ensure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of property account engineering services.
  • Offer advanced property consultative services to clients, identifying key risk exposures and suggesting mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in marketing our risk transfer insurance products through strategic cooperation with underwriting professionals and agents.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of experience in Risk Engineering, or a High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience in the field.
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience in teamwork-oriented environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with large account Highly Protected Risk (HPR) property management.
  • Account Executive, Loss Control or Risk Engineering background within the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge or background in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) certification.
  • Exceptional communication and consultative skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills and a proven history of successful teamwork.
  • High level of proficiency in relevant PC software and systems.
