Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction inspection experience for transportation, water, or utility projects.
• Basic knowledge of quality requirements for construction materials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work and document conformity to standards.
• Complete records of field observations and daily reports.
• Perform material sampling and testing on applicable materials.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and change orders.
• Assist project management staff in problem identification.
• Manage construction supervisors and inspection staff.
• Review construction documents for constructability issues.
• Facilitate responses to RFIs from contractors.
• Represent the firm at meetings and prepare minutes.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
