Job summary

Gulf Interstate is seeking a Field Principal Project Controls Specialist to coordinate project planning and controls on high-profile energy projects in Indiana. The role requires leading project control activities, developing schedules and budgets, and interfacing with management to guide project decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a business-related field, 5–7 years in project controls (2 years in a lead role), and strong proficiency in MS Project,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related major.
5-7 years Project Controls industry experience, with up to 2 years in a lead role.
Proficient in MS Project and Primavera.
Proficient in MS Excel.
Familiar with oil and gas pipeline engineering processes.

Responsibilities

Coordinate project planning and develop/maintain project schedules, budgets, costs, progress, invoicing and related activities.
Provide key reports to project management for decision support and direction of the project.
Analyze earned value progress to identify project risks and mitigations.
Ensure contractual obligations related to project controls are met on each project.
Maintain change management procedures and track cost/schedule trends.
