Job summary

SUBURBAN CONSULTING ENGINEERS, INC. is seeking a Senior Construction Observer to manage on-site observations of water and wastewater facilities in New Jersey. The role requires over 6 years of experience in construction, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The candidate will conduct observations, document progress, and communicate effectively with project teams. A valid driver’s license and relevant certifications are required, with a competitive salary range of $35 to $50/hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• 6+ years of related experience required.
• State of New Jersey T, W, C, or S operator’s licenses preferred.
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive on-site observation of construction projects.
• Document all on-site observations of construction progress.
• Provide proactive communication on non-conformance issues.
• Attend pre-construction and job progress meetings as required.
