Job summary

Agile Defense seeks a Senior Hardware / Software Installation Technician to support a US Army modernization program. You will perform site surveys, evaluate infrastructure readiness, and oversee installation of hardware and software across CONUS facilities.

The role requires traveling up to 90% with potential OCONUS deployments, working on secure networks (Active SECRET, TS preferred), and mentoring junior technicians while coordinating with PMO and government POCs.

Qualifications

• Must have BA/BS with at least 5 years of experience.
• Proficiency with Telcordia standards, fiber splicing, and testing equipment is required.
• Experience with network devices (IP Routers, switches) and installing devices per DoD/industry standards.
• Proficient in MS Office applications and Google Docs for reporting.
• Ability to interpret SOWs, site drawings, and infrastructure diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and produce SSRs for critical IT modernization projects.
• Oversee installation of hardware and software solutions at field sites.
• Mentor fellow technicians and coordinate with PMO and Government POCs.
• Navigate military facilities and maintain security/compliance during deployments.
