Job summary

Ethos Risk Services is seeking an Experienced Field Investigator to conduct surveillance and investigative activities to identify potential fraudulent insurance claims. This role involves stationary and mobile surveillance, obtaining video and photographic evidence, and preparing thorough, detailed reports for clients.

The position is independent, with early starts and extended hours, and may require travel within a 2-hour radius of residence.

Qualifications

• Covert surveillance experience and ability to capture high-quality video.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Reliable personal vehicle, preferably with tinted windows.
• Handheld camcorder with high-quality zoom and a covert camera device; stabilization gear encouraged.
• Reliable laptop, cell phone and internet for tasks.
• Active Private Investigator license or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Case Preparation: Review preliminary reports and case information.
• Field Surveillance: Perform covert surveillance from your vehicle and capture video evidence.
• Report Writing: Draft detailed, court-ready investigative reports.
• Documentation: Finalize case file and upload video footage.
• Communication: Collaborate with field supervisor and operations teams.
