Job summary

UES, Inc. in Arizona seeks a Special Inspector II to ensure quality, safety and compliance on complex construction projects. You will perform specialized field inspections, collaborate with engineers and contractors, and help deliver projects to high standards.

This role offers independent field work on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects while expanding certifications and technical expertise with a nationally recognized leader in the built environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or welding certificate preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in field inspections or materials testing.
• Industry certifications strongly preferred (e.g., ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician, ICC certifications).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, standards, and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized inspections on high-impact construction projects throughout Arizona.
• Partner with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure quality, compliance, and project success.
• Apply your expertise in building codes, specifications, and industry standards to solve field challenges.
• Deliver accurate inspection findings that support critical construction decisions.
• Mentor and support developing inspectors while strengthening team capabilities.
