Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Field Engineering Sr Manager to lead the VLS shipboard and production support efforts. You will manage over 20 direct reports, coordinate with Quality Assurance, Security, Weld Shop, Painting Shop and subcontractors, and drive schedules to meet contract milestones while maintaining VLS policies.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science, 5+ years of related experience, a Secret security clearance, and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Manage over 20 direct reports in day-to-day operations of the VLS shipboard and VLS production.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Security, Weld Shop, Painting Shop and outside vendors/subcontractors.
• Drive schedules and manage the workforce to meet multiple contract milestones.
• Maintain current and correct VLS policies and procedures and a fluid relationship with the VLS PEO and VLS ISEA.
