Job summary
A leading EPC company is hiring a Senior Protection & Control (P&C) Field Engineer to test and commission high-voltage substations across the US. This role offers competitive pay ($50–$85/hr) and the opportunity to work with top-tier equipment and a dedicated technical team. Candidates should have extensive experience with electrical systems and be comfortable working on systems up to 500 kV. Full-time positions require travel flexibility, as engineers will need to cover their local markets.
Qualifications
5–10 years of experience testing medium and high-voltage electrical systems.
Solid knowledge of protective relays.
Comfortable working on systems up to 500 kV.
Responsibilities
Test and commission protection & control systems on high-voltage substations.
Perform hands-on relay testing using Omicron or Doble test sets.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Skills
Testing medium and high-voltage electrical systems
Knowledge of protective relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE)
Relay calibration and control scheme testing
Communication and documentation skills
Education
Bachelor’s or associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
