Job summary

MoDOT’s Clinton Project Office seeks a Resident Engineer to supervise contract administration and field engineering staff across an assigned district. You will ensure surveying, inspection, documentation, and contract administration of construction projects meet specifications and standards under general supervision.

The role requires PE licensure in Missouri, ABET-accredited degree, and 6+ years in highway/transportation engineering, with OSHA 10-Hour certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer license in Missouri required.
• Six years of highway or transportation engineering experience.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts for the assigned area.
• Interpret construction plans, specifications and special provisions; propose corrections as needed.
• Prepare or supervise project documentation, reports, payment estimates, change orders, final plans, and contractor performance reports.
