Job summary

Fehr Graham, a Midwest engineering environmental firm, seeks a Senior Construction Technical Engineer for our East Peoria, Illinois office. You will translate concepts into tangible projects and drive construction efforts with hands-on field observations and solid drawing and measurement skills.

The role emphasizes teamwork, client confidentiality, and a strong commitment to meeting plans and specifications while supporting a broad range of projects and environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Architecture Technology, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical measurement, surveying, or technical environmental activities.
• Able to perform observation duties for construction projects, recording data, taking measurements, and verify activities & quantities in relation to plan and specification documents.
• Accurate in verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide field and office technical support for engineering and environmental functions.
• Conduct field observations of work in progress and keep records of quantities and activities.
• Collect samples from environmental media for analysis.
• Create drawings via hand drafting or CAD for review.
• Prepare calculations and summary sheets as directed.
• Maintain field and office equipment and assist with plan sets and filing.
• Exercise supervision to stop construction if contractors deviate from design or materials.
• Collaborate with team while protecting client confidentiality.
