Job summary
SAIC is seeking a Senior Field Engineer in Portsmouth, VA to build, test, and patch hardware and software across Windows and Nutanix platforms. You will troubleshoot and fix RF, time systems, and network issues, serving as the on-site customer representative.
Travel up to 25% may be required, with active Secret clearance and potential Top Secret eligibility. Ideal candidates have a related bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in C4I environments, supporting system integrations and creating
Qualifications
- Related bachelor’s degree and 9+ years experience or Master’s degree and 7+ years experience.
- Technical training in electronics, computers, or networking; Navy C school a plus.
- Experience in C4I environments, with requirements, ops, test and eval.
- Clearance: active Secret to start, ability to obtain Top Secret.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% CONUS/OCONUS.
Responsibilities
- Build and test hardware and software for Windows and Nutanix systems.
- Patch computer and network devices and perform PITCO testing.
- Troubleshoot problems and determine solutions per specs.
- Maintain on-site liaison with customer, support integrations.
- Develop and update system documentation and processes.
