Job summary

V2X is seeking a Field Engineer/Technician to assemble and test prototype electrical and mechanical systems in lab and field environments. You will read drawings, wire harnesses, solder, and perform functional checks to ensure safe operation on military and civilian platforms.

You will collaborate with design and test teams, travel domestically and internationally up to 25%, and support audits to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Aviation Technology or equivalent; prefer 4+ years maintenance/upgrade on aircraft.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred.
• IPC-620 trained preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build/assemble mechanical and electrical prototype assemblies in lab.
• Install, integrate, troubleshoot prototype hardware in lab or field.
• Modify components, route wiring, and perform structural changes.
